Sintered molybdenum crucibles are mainly used for high-temperature furnace containers, and can be used in vacuum and inert or reducing gas below 2100℃. Molybdenum has a high melting point, high temperature strength, low out gassing, and good machinability. Its density is approximately half of that of tungsten. It’s widely used in Sapphire crystal growth, rare-earth smelting, and the coating industry as melting containers. We have the world’s largest crucible production capacity, and our annual production can reach the total sum of the whole national crucible production in China.
Spun molybdenum crucibles are a thin-walled crucibles manufactured from a single piece of molybdenum plate. This process can be used to produce large-size thin-walled crucibles. Spinning is a CNC controlled pressure forming and processing method to form thin-wall hollow rotary parts. It relies on the feed movement of rotary wheel or lever rod to add pressure to the metal blanks rotating along the same axis of core mold, thus making local plastic deformation to form the required hollow. We are the first Chinese company who have adopted this process to produce thin-walled molybdenum crucibles.
When molybdenum plate is processed by spinning and hot working process, its grains are extended under pressure, and its physical performance is further improved, which reduces the material consumption under the same strength requirements. Spinning molybdenum crucibles have good resistance to high temperature creep. Also, because of the natural characteristics of molybdenum metal such as high melting point, high temperature strength, low pollution, corrosion resistance, large thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, and good hardenability, spinning molybdenum crucibles are widely used in Sapphire crystal growth, rare-earth smelting, and coating industry as melting containers.
