  • We only use the purest molybdenum powder to manufacture the molybdenum electrodes. This ensures the molybdenum electrodes have the characteristics of high melting point, high temperature strength, consistent hardness, good thermal shock resistance, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and good corrosion resistance.

    The GME’s are approved for use by the largest consumers in the US, Europe, and Asia.

    Molybdenum electrodes are used in glass melting furnaces producing high quality glass containers and glass fiber. Our electrodes are energy efficient, have a long service life, and contribute to a more environmentally friendly melting of the glass.

    Molybdenum electrodes can be used in a variety of glass furnaces except for lead glass. The maximum usage temperature is 1500 ℃. We can provide full application of technical services of design, machining and installation and to ensure a smooth operation for our customers. Molybdenum electrodes with holders incorporating a water cooled jacket can be custom ordered.

  • TZM alloy, or Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum alloy, is one of the standard high temerature molybdenum. It is a molybdenum alloy with solid solution and strengthening particles, and is composed of 0.50% titanium and 0.08% zirconium and 0.02% Carbon, with the remaining molybdenum. Its physical properties and chemical performance are superior to that of pure molybdenum. The recrystallization temperature of it is > 1400 ℃, far higher than molybdenum, and it can also provide better weldability.

    Areas for the application of TZM include heat treatment furnace components, rotating anodes for x-ray generation, injection molding hot runner nozzles, forming tools, light alloy die castings, isothermal forging billets, and piercing dies for tube production.

  • Sintered molybdenum crucibles are mainly used for high-temperature furnace containers, and can be used in vacuum and inert or reducing gas below 2100℃. Molybdenum has a high melting point, high temperature strength, low out gassing, and good machinability. Its density is approximately half of that of tungsten. It’s widely used in Sapphire crystal growth, rare-earth smelting, and the coating industry as melting containers. We have the world’s largest crucible production capacity, and our annual production can reach the total sum of the whole national crucible production in China.

    Spun molybdenum crucibles are a thin-walled crucibles manufactured from a single piece of molybdenum plate. This process can be used to produce large-size thin-walled crucibles. Spinning is a CNC controlled pressure forming and processing method to form thin-wall hollow rotary parts. It relies on the feed movement of rotary wheel or lever rod to add pressure to the metal blanks rotating along the same axis of core mold, thus making local plastic deformation to form the required hollow. We are the first Chinese company who have adopted this process to produce thin-walled molybdenum crucibles.

    When molybdenum plate is processed by spinning and hot working process, its grains are extended under pressure, and its physical performance is further improved, which reduces the material consumption under the same strength requirements. Spinning molybdenum crucibles have good resistance to high temperature creep. Also, because of the natural characteristics of molybdenum metal such as high melting point, high temperature strength, low pollution, corrosion resistance, large thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, and good hardenability, spinning molybdenum crucibles are widely used in Sapphire crystal growth, rare-earth smelting, and coating industry as melting containers.

  • Tungsten heavy alloy is an alloy using a matrix of tungsten with alloying elements of nickel, iron, copper and others, it has the characteristics such as: high and adjustable density(~ 18.5g/cm3), good absorption ability of high-energy radiation (1/3 higher than the absorptivity of lead), low coefficient of thermal expansion (4 ~ 6×10-6/℃), good plasticity, high strength and elasticity modulus, machinability and weldability.

    Tungsten heavy alloy is widely used in radiation shielding materials, balance weight materials, inertia materials, dynamic balance materials, kinetic energy materials, high temperature molds, security & defense, nuclear medicine, and kinetic energy materials.

    Our company has inherited the tradition of strict demands on our high quality products. In 2004, the company provided seven tons of tungsten heavy alloy shielding parts for the Alice detector of European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), including the largest tungsten alloy part with a weight of 1.3 tons.

Niobium

  • Niobium powder is mainly used as additives to various alloys and raw materials to produce welding rods and refractory materials, etc. The powder is light grey, with high melting point and good resistance to corrosion.

  • Niobium & Niobium alloys have high melting point, excellent resistance to corrosion and good workability. The product can be used to process various niobium mill products which are widely applied for pharmacy, semiconductor, aviation and aerospace, nuclear, high temperature assemblies and other fields.

  • Niobium bars have good thermal resistance and anti-corrosion characteristics. The product is mainly used as additives to special steels, high-temperature alloys and magnetic materials.

It could obviously improve the properties of oxidation resistance and intensity by adding zirconium into niobium, zirconium-niobium alloys are made into capillary tube for the use of sodium lamp manufacture.
